Where to sleep: hotels, b&bs and holiday homes on Elba

If you are wondering where to sleep on the Island of Elba, here are some of my practical tips on most beautiful and strategic areas in which to stay.

Within the municipality of Campo nell'Elba, it is the ideal town in which to stay if you want to have the various services close at hand and a bit of exercise in the evening. Here there are in fact bars, restaurants, supermarkets and shops, as well as a very long sandy beach, various beach establishments and a very pleasant seafront promenade. I also recommend it for the location convenient and strategic for visiting the various beaches and locations on the island. Here you will find a wide choice of accommodation including hotels of various categories, B&Bs, villas and apartments.

These three localities are small hamlets of the municipality of Campo nell'Elba, in the south-west area of the island, the splendid Coast of the Sun.

They all give their names to the golden sandy beaches of the same name and are easily accessible from the road. Ideal places if you want to stay in a quiet place, but close to amenities and Marina di Campo services. In these remote places there are very few inhabitants in the evening and the number of structures is limited: the peace and authenticity of the island is guaranteed.

These three localities are, however, hamlets located in the municipality of Marciana, in the western area of the island. Even more remote and wild areas, truly spectacular for their conservation and position. Ideal if you want to have aauthentic experience of the Island and indeed not very touristy.

Located in the central north of the island, it is a small seaside resort, directly overlooking the large sandy beach of the same name, from which you can admire one of the most beautiful sunsets on the island.
In Procchio there are all the main services: restaurants, pizzerias, minimarkets, ATMs, pharmacy, bakery, some small shops and some bars.
There are various accommodation facilities: hotels, residences, apartments and villas.

Locations located in the municipality of Portoferraio, in the north of the island. Isolated and authentic, offer several hotels and apartments to stay in. Viticcio is characterized by a pebble beach and dream cliffs. Biodola is a long beach of golden sand that ends in the adjacent Scaglieri.
